Environmental Management Systems
During 2008 and 2009, the EPA conducted onsite audits of Mercer's Macon & Atlanta campuses.
Mercer entered into an agreement with the EPA to establish an Environmental Management System (EMS), for the purpose of maintaining daily operations in compliance with EPA regulations.
The Mercer University Environmental Management System (EMS) documents were developed for the Macon and Atlanta campuses to complete the formal agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
The EMS Manuals are the EMS program guidance documents developed by the Mercer EHSO and Physical Plant Department.
The EMS Manuals were reviewed and endorsed by a faculty committee, the Environmental Concerns Committee.
